Returned yesterday after 4 wonderful nights in Seminyak.
Bought two,two pack bottles of beautiful red wine in duty free in Perth and carried them as hand luggage.
Was prepared to pay the "duty" but passed straight through X-ray without question. I have only been stopped once before and had to pay $20 for two bottles.
Before the hecklers get on to me, have visited Bali more than 30 times so I am not a newbie and have done this many times before, not hidden in suitcases or decanted etc.
It's a personal choice but having a bottle of good wine with a nice dinner is worth it to us,though found some of the restaurants now charging up to Rp150,000 corkage. Still cheaper than buying in Bali though.
