If you don't have a bad back,don't get sea sick, and can handle the pounding, then I'd go from Benoa. It takes around 2.5 hours from benoa to gili T. A shorter boat ride is from Padang Bai (1.5 hours), in which case you will do 1 hour by road to Padang Bai and 1.5 hours by boat - so same journey length, perhaps a little more comfortable.
To go by air, now that the airport is in south Lombok, it will take well over an hour from the airport to Teluk Kodek or Bangsal, plus time waiting for a boat, and getting to the island.
I expect now that the airport has relocated, more people will take advantage of direct boats to the gili from bali.
