My main complaint with AirAsia-thanks rickylovina- is that they DELIBERATELY do not seat families together in order to get more money out of you, even if it is $4 per seat or whatever.
When I tried to book online, their seat allocation section was inoperational, meaning that even if I wanted to pay to keep my family together (their automatic booking system put the three of us-including our TWO YEAR OLD-in different rows), I couldn't. Tried to over a couple of days, the website had a problem. So when we went to check in at the counter both in Perth and Denpasar on return, they did not seat us together as a matter of course, wanting further payment! Anyone think this is reasonable?! I've flown a number of airlines and I'm pretty sure the usual practice when doing a counter check-in is to seat families together, where possible. Especially ones with small children. I do understand that this is a no-frills budget carrier but I really do think I'm entitled to a basic form of service without being gouged an extra fee
