Best thing I can suggest is to base yourself anywhere along Poppies 1 (not 2) where you can use the road instead of the footpath. There are lots and lots of restaurants, bars, spas, etc within a short distance.

Also, you can get to the quite fantastic (especially for a wheelchair) beach front path from which you can access all the beachfront attractions all the way to Centro and beyond. Path starts about 500m left from Poppies 1 but the pathway on the road is also good. Use google maps to check it out and plan your activities.
