We're going to be in Bali for a month in October (6 through Nov 6th) In the past I sort of winged it-just got a room thru a balinese friend and went on the cheap-always seemed to work out. This time I'm bringing my new girlfriend and would like to do it a little nicer than the $12 a night room I usually get. Looking for recommendations for nice but not too expensive places ($35-$65) in and around Ubud. A lot of these places already seem to be pretty booked up. So, should I try to book all my nights in advance or can you still wing it? Already booked hotel1st 4 nights and for a workshop 16-21st. Need a place around Ubud for 9th thru 16th. Any suggestions?
