I didn't ever think it was a good idea to let any in but people with money managed to change things, there were also the stowaways which came in by sea. It really is so so sad that rabies came to Bali, of course it may also have come with the primates which are sold at markets in Bali and are not Bali natives.
However the poster wanted info I just wanted her to get the correct info from the right places.I did read on the import site that dogs from the US cannot enter Indonesia as it is not a rabies free country.
If it were me moving to Indonesia I would stay home with my dog till he went to the bridge and then adopt a street dog :)
