Apparently you didn't read all of my post as I did pick up how the gent in question was apparently rude etc. And of course I think that's appalling - as I'm sure we all do.
I just fail to see why his physical description was necessary to reinforce the story about the negative behaviour he displayed. Would it also have been noteworthy if he'd been a redhead or had some other physical attribute that made him "stand out", as you say?
Bad behaviour comes from people of all physical types. Pointing out his body type was just totally inappropriate and unnecessary as far as I can see. I'm sure it would have been sufficientm and the point equally made, to simply say he was rude, loud mouthed etc.
