Was just at Nirmala supermarket topping up my pulsa (credit on phone) and noticed that the Simpati cards are now 5000IDR with 5000 credit. Also they had Indosat for 3,400IDR with 5000 credit.
Then bumped into a neighbour while getting pulsa (credit) for our electricity and he was getting 500,000 IDR worth, I asked if he was topping up for 6 months and he said No, just one month. He said he had 1 AC, 2 fridges and a washing machine so needed that much. I asked what power he had and he said he upgraded from what we have to 3.5 Kilowatt and it cost him 750,000 to upgrade, he now spends 500,000 per month on electricity, we spend 100,000 over 6 weeks. I joked with him about winning the washing machine prize at the supermarket, and he said "yes, but then you will need to earn more to pay for the electricity". He also pointed out that he had to have electricity put through to the wet room to put in his washing machine (we have the same style house). Very good point, if I win the washing machine I have to get power to the room, upgrade the power and then pay more per month. Hubby's foot in bucket in the shower will do me for a lot longer. Thought I'd mention it for those that had a discussion recently about a washing machine as a gift. Luckily our Balinese neighbour has a bit of money.
