There are varying stories about the price of 1 Kw hour (unit) of electricity used, from around Rp800 to Rp 1,500.
There may also be some doubt about the accuracy of some of the older non digital meters that are used, and poor power quality may have some effect on the operation of these.
Whichever way you look at it, if you want "creature comforts" electricity is an expensive commodity in Bali.
