Ugly Duckling hotel

Can anyone provide some feedback on the Ugly Duckling hotel?

I've read a few positive reviews on Trip Advisor and one really terrible review.

I'm told that the rooms have all been renovated though. Perhaps the unhappy guest who left the bad review stayed prior to the renovations.

Can anyone tell me how the Ugly Duckling compares to the Besakih or the Paradise Plaza Hotel?
