So, say 17%, 18%, 19% nominally.
Priced and marked on the ticket by the gram.
Upon purchase, ensure that you get a receipt showing weight and purity.
Take any "old gold" with you and offer it for sale at the best price from shops and street buyers to offset the price of the piece you buy.
Take a "goldmark" catalogue or whatever with you with a pic of what you like and this may make it easier to find.
Price is fluctuating all the time, but assume savings of around 50% of what you would pay for similar in Aus.
