A taxi would be expensive way to look for hotel. Poppies Lane 1 is very close to Hard Rock & there are many budget hotels there. I would get a taxi to Poppies Lane 1 & walk down there looking for hotel. The other option would be to book 1 night somewhere in Kuta & then find something the next day. Hope this helps.
