want one or is this a surprise gift? We do not have one for 2 main reasons; that it is too expensive to run for water and electricity and that we have no where to put it, our wet rooms don't have electricity, we don't even have a washbasin in them. The shower hose is the hand washer, bum washer and only tap in there. Our makeshift kitchen is outside so no electricity out there and rain is a problem. Hubby's left foot in a bucket while he showers has suited me fine for many many years as a very efficient washing machine. If they live in a simple local house like we do then it may not be practical. Also, I think if we plugged one in it wouldn't run or blow the fuses, we can't even run a kettle so yes, wattage is an issue, you can pay to upgrade that, but then their monthly bill is going to go up.
