BaliDaze, You Beast!
sending the boys venturing into Monkey Forest armed only with bananas!
(btw the way 'bananas' is easy to spell, the only problem is to work out when to stop)

My first visit to the Monkey Forest
hired a guide
barely started when a monkey popped itself on my female friend's head
started to groom her and be cute
lotsa photo snapping by me as she giggled
(the friend - and maybe the monkey too)

so I hand her the camera and step up

a different monkey pops onto my head
grabs my expensive optical sunnies and starts to depart with same
a tug of ware ensues,
I can feel the frames flexing at right angles
even more than when I leave them on the chair and sit on them

looks like this battle will go down to the wire

so in a diversionary move the monkey also grabs my hat
now both my hands are occupied
I suddenly recall that the monkey has prehensile feet in the arsenal
and I start wishing I wasn't wearing shorts

time passes, extremely slowly it seems to me
eventually the guide decides time to finish the tour and find some new tourists
at last he moves to scare the monkey away
as a result, monkey releases the sunglasses intact, and the hat,
(and fortunately hasn't grabbed anything more valuable)

monkey now looks like leaving empty handed
so to thank me for providing some entertainment in its lazy banananana eating afternoon monkey proceeds to bite me on the head
as many times as it can squeeze in before the languid motions of the guide persude it to leave

guide then advises
first monkey female - very friendly
my monkey male - not good
useful to know,
but would have been far happier with that pertinent info BEFORE rather than after

TALLY
my friend - some nice photos of her with her cute docile monkey
monkey - no loot, but a chance to sharpen his teeth and to do so isometric strength training
the guide - a substantially reduced price for the drawing he sold me at the end of the tour
me - no photos (not sure whether that is good or bad)
- and a visit to the doctor for rabies shots - ouch - ouch - ouch

therefore my advice is
before the boys pop any monkeys on their heads, check their genitals
(talking about the monkey's genitals here)

So BaliDaze
Good luck to the boys - they will need it
