Hi Everyone,

I'm not good at just sitting around relaxing. While the idea of sitting pool side sipping on a coconut filled with some gorgeous cocktail sounds great in theory, the reality tends to send me bonkers with boredom. I get manic, and start bugging people to do something!

As such, I was kind of surprised when our quiet day in the villa didn't bother me.

This was probably helped by the fact that our ragtag group didn't behave and follow 'the plan' as organised!

First action of the day changed from sitting around in the bale having fruit for breakfast, to walking down to the beach and eating a cooked breakfast in Tekor's.

Now the food at Tekor's was great! Best I've had at Legian Beach yet... but the walking there thing. Not so great.

We tend to shuffle down the laneway in a group that resembles a giant caterpillar. Shuffle, shuffle, stop, bunch up. Shuffle, shuffle, stop, bunch up. All of this coupled by Uncle calling out "here's one... another one.. one's coming" everytime one of the MANY scooters approaches.

Once he calls out, Aunty and mum stop... we all bunch up behind them and mutter under our breath with exasperation, and then we shuffle on again.

The trip 'home' was different. The mobility challenged amongst us decided that the straight, flat, and smooth trip down the well paved but narrow laneway was to boring and claustrophobic, and instead we were going to tackle the longer, but more interesting walk up Jl Double Six.

This was not a good idea! I was sure of it!

Sure enough, we had barely turned the corner when we had to dodge building works. The multiple steps up and then down from the footpaths required hoisting of mum and aunty, and to make matters worse, a quarter of the way up mumsie mistook an innocent puddle for a lake, and decided to go for a splash.

So wet mum, hobbling Aunty, beleaguered Uncle, tired Daddy, frustrated Master 14, bored Master 2 and I continued on our way.. only to be stopped when mum and Aunty spotted shops on the other side of the road.

Now I have no idea how they managed it. They couldn't manage to cross a driveway without assistance, but somehow they hopped across the road in 2 seconds flat, climbed the gutter, and were soon neck deep in a quagmire of "I give you best morning price.".

I have to admit to taking a bit of guilty pleasure in walking away and letting them finish what they started... but I think they feel a bit upset that their efforts turned out so badly.

They paid nearly $30 for two thin, small, poorly made, and well.. cheap.. beach towels.

Oh well, they had fun until they realised what they had actually paid :)

A bit more shopping (with me doing the bargaining) followed, and we finally made it back to the villa.

The rest of the day was spent swimming, eating cheese and biccies, reacing, and in my case, chasing the 2yr old around. :)

At 6pm Nyoman picked us up, and we went to Yut'z for dinner. BEST food yet! Really really good. And the prices were fantastic.

We only ordered mains and drinks, with most of us having at least two drinks (including cocktails), and the bill for 7 only came to 1.1mill.

Mum couldn't choose so had both the vegetable curry, and the satay chicken. Both great, the curry in particular was beautiful. We also had Pork chop, Rump Steak, Meatloaf, Chorizo Sausage, and Lamb Sausages for the ankle biter. All meals were beautiful, though the Meatloaf was more like Spam than what we were expecting.

The highlight of the meal, is Yut'z frozen margarita's. You get a sample upon arrival as a welcome drink, and we enjoyed it so much most of us ordered a couple more. Very yummy, and great on a hot day.

After dinner Master 2 just wanted to go home, so we bowed to his sleepy wishes, and headed 'home' to play cards and relax.

So, another quiet day, nothing particularly intersting to report.

Tomorrow we're off to Ubud, Elephant Temple, Tegallalang Markets, and going to send the menfolk into Monkey Forest with a bunch of bananas. *snicker*

I'm looking forward to hearing all about it :)

Have a great day!!
