It's absolutely stunning. You could do a day trip or spend a night or 2 there.

Go to Pacung Indah for brunch "A View to Dine For" - true), then past the Ghost Palace to Candi Kuning Markets for spices, fruit & pashminas & Cracker's Loos. Botanical Gardens entrance is next to the markets & well worth a drive around. Then through Bedugul, up through a monkey forest to a ridge with numerous vantage points to view the lakes. Just beautiful. This is the food bowl of Bali & the fertile lowlands around Bedugul are heavily cultivated.

Then on to Munduk. You'll stop often to take pics. Lots of hydrangea gardens, of all things. Lunch at Puri Alam - great local food at bargain prices with astounding views. It's a lovely place to stay for a night or 2, nothing fancy but the ever-changing vista from bed & the huge terrace makes up for no aircon, TV, fridge. It's cool there, anyway. Great walks in the area with guides available.

This is my favourite trip. Just love it. For me no trip to Bali is complete without going to Munduk.
