is the best. it's our very favorite place. my kids loved it - been twice. and puri alam bali is a fantastic place to stay if you are ok with simple lodgings and steep flights of steps. we also love tirta gangga and bangli (lousy accommodation options). padang bai isn't out if the way, but is interesting. amed is great for snorkelling. these are alll places we have stayed a number of days at.we find it takes a couple of days to get a feel for a place and always go for long walks in all directions. munduk is apparently no good in the rainy season
