Gday everyone... busily packing for our trip to bali!!!!YAY.. hoping all your advice will come in handy and will definitely be doing a JBR when we get back.
Anyway Im currently arguing with the cheese n kisses about a wedding we are to attend whilst in my crazy little island...
My wifes niece is marrying a Balinese guy in Tabanan, and she reckons I have to cover my tattoos up(sleeves)my daughters all need to be covered, heads etc like we are part of this religion....(her words)
Now dont get me wrong, I dont have a problem with tradition etc, but surely the fact that we are going to be the imports, and not part of this religion(cant remember if its hindu or muslim..and I aint game to ask her atm...shes grumpy... something about pressure and packing and all that) then surely we wont be expected to conform(hell, nobody does it in this country) Was hoping someone, maybe an expat may be able to give advice here.
If its just a case of they will be offended, then i'll cover up... but anything else...
BTW I do love Bali and its culture and Im sure the wedding will be an excellent experience... and as Im always to happy to point out here in oz... learn the damn langauge... which Im still doing now(12 months of practice so far)

Thanks
Troy
