If you walk through the village and through the back gate, there is a couple living in a small house on your left. The husband sells sof drinks and his fine straw weaving.
He has to live outside the village walls, as he married a woman from outside the village.
In the centre of the village are several gamelans, which use an entirely different scale to other gamelans in Bali.
There are people selling things from their homes, such as lontar books but there is no pressure to buy.
