Don't ignore the smaller roadside shops with coloured plastics hanging outside either as these will be cheaper.
I am sure you will find plenty of things that the kids will love.
Soccer is a popular sport, but bat/ball will also be appreciated.
Take no notice of smart*rse negative comments....these are from people who don't know what it's like to do disadvantaged kids a favour.
