IF you re-read my message I suggested up grading to an XL or as I belive they call it now premium economy seat which has nothing to do with standard seats.
I agree that air asiax from australia on an A330 has narrow standard economy seats and I dont see any xl seats advertised so on the U.K. route it will either be a different version of the airbus A330 or perhaps the same size plane with a different seat configaration,I believe the xl seats are up front and are comparable to business class,if not they are a lot different to standard economy.
