I flew from KL to Melbourne in October this year in a AA Airbus 330-200. I chose a window seat 14A. I am 178 cm tall and weigh 105 kg and I was cramped. I had to splay my legs as there was insufficient legroom and the width of the seat between the armrests was narrow.

There was no window next to seat 14A, just a plastic wall. The seat did not recline as there was a bulkhead behind me. The seat in front of me did recline.

The row behind me ie seats 15A, 15B and 15C was an exit row and they had a metre of legroom in front of them.

I was happy with my cramped seat as I was only paying $A99 for my 9 hour flight. If I was flying to London, I would pay extra for a seat in a exit row.

I spoke to German tourists in Bali this year. They travel to Bangkok with a cheap airline than continue to Bali with a direct AA flight to Bali.
