Have been to both. The zoo has a great restaurant and good prices. Holding the animals is good too. Bali Safari is different having the animals close to the "safari" car is exciting. The restaurant, more up market than the zoo, is quite reasonable in price and the lions are just outside the huge window. You can have your photo with tiger cub, lion cub or oragutan. The zoo would be cheaper for a family as the Safari prices are said to go up to about $50 Au.
