In eight of my last ten visits, I have made no bookings. On my last two visits to Bali, I have turned up at midnight and found a room at my first attempt in Kuta.
I have only found rooms hard to find in the period between Christmas and New Year.
Losmens charging less than Rp 200,000 per night do not have websites.
They expect their customers to be "walk ins".
