Hi forum,

Just giving some feedback after recently staying at the KTH.

I was really looking forward to staying at this property especially with all the mixed reviews and hype about the place!

I must say that for the price your paying you do get a pretty good room and the property itself is lovely..... what lets it down... The service is absolutely rubbish.

I know not all will agree with me because the staff seemed to have there favourites and these peoples needs were met no doubt but from the moment of check in it just went down hill for our family. I dont like to complain and didnt even mention it until check out but it was really getting ridiculous.

We stayed eight nights, and the apartments are advertised as being serviced daily, well every morning we went out we mentioned to reception we would like someone to clean our room please. The whole time we were there it happened twice! Breakfast was fine if the staff felt like serving you, we would sit at a table make actual eye contact with several staff members before having to wave our arms in the air saying excuse me, umm excuse me. One morning a member of our party came down to breakfast at 10,30am after a big night out and was told that he couldnt order breakfast (it does state on the vouchers that breakfast is served till 11am). A lovely group of aussie girls also checked in towards the end of our stay Im guess they were ages 17+ when these girls sat at a table the chances of you getting a look in to order something from the male staff was impossible!! Now by all means guys perv away but dont forget you have other guests that wouldnt mind eating brekky too!

One night we decided to eat dinner by the pool and stay in for drinks...BIG mistake. Three guys ordered the steak sandwhich which we were told comes with chips, sandwhiches arrive no chips. Ok no problem can we order 2 bowls of chips then please... sure thing. They arrived just after we cancelled the order....2 hours and 15 minutes after they were ordered... Now thats Bali time. We sat at the same table all night and everyone ordered the same drink every round, so it did suprise me that every time we wanted to order another drink we had to go and find a waiter to take our order in the end we were ordering two of everything to save the hassle... and the next morning till about 11.30am all our empty glasses and plates stayed on the table and were not bothered to be cleared.

Unfortunately the worst thing that did take place is one member of our group fell down the steps leading out of the restaurant carrying a baby, fortunately she saved the baby and he was not hurt at all, but by doing so really hurt herself. This happened because while they had a packed restaurant of guests eating breakfast they decided to hose down the floor! She was really hurt and for the last two days could hardly walk, it was decided though as nothing was broken she wanted to wait till she got home to see a doctor. Now I realise that being Bali most properties wouldnt have such things as liability insurance but just a bit of concern would of been appreciated at the very least they could of offered a lower floor room so she didnt have to hobble up four flights of stairs. The husband of the lady who was injured spoke to the aussie manager about this, not wanting special treatment or blaming anyone but trying to make his wife more comfortable and was told abruptly that its not there fault and if she wants to see a doctor shell have to claim it from her travel insurance(paying for a Dr wasnt an issue it was just the way it was all dealt with we had a problem with)

Our 2 x 2 apartment backed onto the AP Inn therefore alot of surfers had very load piss ups on there balcony some nights it was impossible to sleep as there conversations were so loud I felt like they were in my room!! The next day I honestly felt like knocking on there door saying the whole of Bali doesnt need to know how big ya mates privates are!!

So as you can imagine this put a bit of a dampner on the whole trip and of course we will go back to Bali, will we stay at the KTH NOOOOOOO!!
