What has happened to Bali??? So much traffic that it takes hours and hours to go anywhere, vehicle pollution, 10,000 street hawkers selling time share and savage dogs roaming the streets!!!!
The traffic now is horrendous, taking 3.5hours to go to the 'Best Elephant Park' in the world at Taro and 4hours to come home tends to spoil any adventure tour. The streets in Kuta, Legian and Seminyak are nightmares to walk around with children, the drivers like to play chicken with tourists.
Although I love the area I will not be going back to the Nusa Dua area for holidays because you can no longer walk around any of the market places, resturants or beaches in safety because of the number of dangerous and aggressive dogs. Just about every where we went we were hassled by dogs and found it completely unacceptable that the management and staff allowed dogs to roam through the resturants. My wife had a plastic bag with food in it snatched out of her hands by a group of dogs and what is worse the locals thought it was funny. When trying to retreive the bag the dogs just went crazy.
In the newspaper people are dying every day from rabbies but no one seems to care??? In the last few days my family were scared to venture outside the hotel. Anyone coming to Bali needs to be aware that the Balinese like having dogs around but dont feed them, so they are the worst looking dogs in the world, every street we walked in this trip had dogdirt everywhere in Nusa Dua and Kuta.
We wont be back.
Bye Bye Bali.
