For many years we have taken heaps of $2 coins tobali to give as tips to shopkeepers, hotel staff ,restaurant staff etc etc. They always seemed delighted to recieve this little extra. However on our last trip we went to a restaurant called the flying piano and gave the band 12 $2 coins($24 dollars) tip and they imformed us that was no good to them as the money changers would not cash them.To give them credit they were very polite about it but it did make us feel bad that in all the previous time where we must have given away hundreds of dollars it was probably of no benifit to th recipients.Any thoughts on this?
