I posted a translation previously. Type in "peanut" and you will find a translation saying that your child may die if they have peanuts.
I know it sounds extreme but if you just say "no nuts" you will still get nuts. Often when you are not understood people (in any country) will just nod yes.
Print it out and take it with you. Laminate it or take heaps.
Make sure the waiter shows it to the chef.
