Visas used to be free and for 60 days so people could stay longer and spend more money.
Indonesia's main rivals don't charge VOA and have left the country in the dust in terms of tourist numbers and tourist infrastrcture.
Now they are shooting the other for with the booze levies.
But as usual they will find someone else to blame.
