the wet season is not the season to visit munduk, but if you are planning ahead and looking for somewhere in the hills away from the crowds of ubud, munduk is beautiful: steep hills of rice terraces, mixed clove and coffee plantations, waterfalls and lovely hiking through the countryside, lots of agriculture. the views were spectacular. warning:no art and culture other than in everyday life. it's a rural area, so expect roosters crowing. we spent 6 days there and my children (7 and 8 yo) think it the best place we stayed in our month away. every morning we would go for a 3 or 4 hour walk through the hills, along ancient irrigation channels and the riceterraces and through the various plantations and along dirt roads. and when the rain set in at 2pm we would read or play chess. i'll leave my email open ,if you have questions
