we stayed at the puri alam bali, which is a litle further on from the puri lumbung as you approach munduk from the east on the left hand side. it is somewhat cheaper and the views are exceptional. spotless, with room service every day and the traditional bali pancake breakfast is a treat. but not for those with adventurous toddlers, as there are numerous opportunities to fall long distances. this was our favourite accommodation on our trip.
the puri lumbung , although not as beautifula and relatively expensive, does marvellous things for the local community and has a strong ecological/environmental focus where they are actively involved, not just spouting rhetoric.
