My friend will soon be travelling to Bali for the first at the end of this month, she is very excited, and looking forward to all the wonderful places and things to see and do while there
BUT!my friend is confined to a wheelchair, she has not travelled before and never ever been on a plane
This trip for her is like a practice run to see how she and her husband cope with the difficulties of awheelchair on a plane
If all goes well,at the end of this year she(with the kind help of others)will fly to Germany for Stemcell therapy,my friend has MS
We have helped in choosing the hotels in Bali,we think have easy access for her and the same with shopping, tours and resturants
Her biggest worry is the plane trip, because her hubby has to help her in every situation, private and otherwise!she feels that useing the facilities will draw attention to her, causing a great deal of embarrassement,I know others have told her how tiny the toilets, are onthe plane ,how the seats are close to-gether and how narrow the isles are
She understands the hostesses will be more than helpful, but still carn't comprehend how they will manage
With this post I am hoping, someone who has or knows something about
such an experience, could please advise me on what to tell my friend,so she can relax and have the holiday she truly deserves
Once she gets to Bali I know she will love it as we do
and hopefully she will return again next year(if all goes well in Germany) she will walk everywhere herself, and not have to worry about
how she will get around to enjoy the wonders of Bali!
Please help if you can.
