it is regulatory that after final payment tickets be issued within 4 days. This is to stop over booking of flights and sometimes accommodation. Once you have your paper copy or e-ticket you have verification of your booking. Very handy if you arrive at the airport and they say your seat belongs to someone else. Don't laugh this happens more than you think! Why would you book a trip in Dec. when not travelling till June, this always astounds me.
