When I had a look at a 2 bedroom apartment at Puri Damai (just before they opened) I thought the stairs to the bedroom upstairs could be a problem for smaller children or for the elderly.
The stairs were cut on an angle, steep & no hand rails.
As you step off the top of the upper level the first steps are on an angle.
This apartment was the one closest to the pool.
Not sure whether the stairs were the same for all their 2 bedroom apartments or not
In both Puri Damai & Tunjung the living areas are open (nothing to lock up).
With a toddler you would have to keep an eye on them constantly in case they wandered out of the villa into the grounds and the pool.
Tunjung also has stairs to the upper level but these were safer than Puri Damai.
