Hi forumites, have been trying to sort this out independently, but with no success yet, so any help is appreciated!
My fiance and I are going to Bali for our honeymoon Oct 28-Nov 8. Our current plan is:
2-3 nights in Kuta/Legian (yes, we know it could be crazy),
3 nights in Ubud
1 night around Gunung Batur to do the volcano hike (also potential craziness, but fiance is a geologist and I like volcanoes).
Then we'd like to do some diving, ideally at Mengajen and the Liberty wreck. Which makes 2 days at Pemuteran and 2 at Tulamben/Amed/Candidesa sound like a good idea. But, since we want this to be a relaxing honeymoon, we're trying not to move around too much. So, maybe it would be better to stay in Lovina and do both sites from there? It's hard to make a decision when the guidebook descriptions of these places all seem pretty generic. Anyone here have impressions of these areas or votes on where to go? Or, if there is a great mid-range place to stay in any of those areas, that could sway the decision!
