Personally, I don't like people coming from other countries to Bali instead of vacations they visit orphanages bringing with them second-hand clothes, shoes etc. I think it offends Balineses as a whole.Why do those 'good samaritans' give rags stained with their sweats, pees and probably poop to other people ?
If those 'rich people' want to donate something to the people whom they feel as living below poverty line, if they want to support, why don't they give their surplus money to the reliable institution like Lion Club or people like Miss Helen cs ?

Yep, it's your right to give money or everything to someone else. It's your right to give 50.000 rupiah to a beggar with a baby on her lap pretending as a needy mother on a crossroad when your hired car is waiting for green light.
But think about the impact of your deeds.
