We are booked into the Sofitel in June. Now I am a bit concerned. I had done a lot of research and certainly was not expecting 5 star standards as you would get in australia.
All I was really hoping for was clean, comfortable, good aircond and apart from the room hoping that the grounds and pools were going to be really nice!!
What type of room were you upgraded to ? We are just in superior.
Also when you say too far from anything - how long would it take to walk to go out for dinner or to go and have a browse through some shops?
I suppose all we can do is go and have out 1st night - see how we go and move if we have to. As we booked with our accor cards we did get a good rate and they have only charged 1 night so far as a deposit.

Also breakfast is not included in our rate - do you know how much it is to pay for it as we have a buy 1 get 1 free with the accor card.
Also was it busy? Hopefully if it isnt full we can get an upgrade too ?
