Mandy I agree with a lot of what harmony has said we are staying at the Sofitel end of May, Last time we were in Bali we walk from our accom The Villas near to the Bali Deli to the Sofitel to check it out
harmonys right it is a 5 min walk to Jl Seminyak and also Jl Legian although it always took us longer to cover the distance as we constantly have to stop to shop (well not me and my brother in law) but the wife and sister in law, The grounds look great (We have stayed at many different Hotels in Bali over many many years and are not worried about the sofitel at all. I have read some mixed reports also but you have to put your faith somewhere all hotels and resorts have off days or a room that needs maintainance you just hope you do not get one of them, if harmony is hosting weddings there you would sort of hope it would be nice (probably need to state here I don't know harmony and have never meet her but have read a lot of her posts). Which always seem direct and informative. I will post while I'm over there if I find it to be bad. I have left my email open if you wish to email us with any further questios you need answered while over there, but I will post JBR when back. I also need to state I can only encourage JBRS such as Stanmar every ones entitled to there view and I just hoping that their experiance is a one off and the room was fixed up after they left.
