I just got back from Bali with a group of 7 ladies. We were very concerned about the amount of shopping we had done and what damage we would do on the scales at the airport. We flew Garuda and were each over by at least 10kgs one being 36kg!s not including hand luggage of course. We just smiled at the guy and before weighing told him we'd all like to go to the Prada Lounge and handed over the 120,000 rp. He turned a compelte blind eye to the luggage weight and escorted us to the lounge personally leaving his post. I am sure they must get kick back for this and thats why he was accomodating.
