Alot of you have met me at forum hook ups in the past, and know just how much I love Bali, I was even bagged for taking my children on a holiday a week after the last bombing because I still thought it was safe enough to go. So when you read my post it will not worry me for you to judge good or bad. I know there are alot of people on this forum that flame those who have a negative approach in their posts.
In saying that I am not negative towards Bali or in future trips.

Our trip was from the 16th March to the 24th March.. We stayed in Legian but I would prefer not to mention the Hotel as this has nothing at all to do with the hotel.
We have been travelling to Bali now for approx. 8 years, 3 to 4 times a year and have not once come across trouble.
This trip we got to meet Mafia members. Only the smaller of the gangs but enough to be quite frightened by it all.
Sitting in a hotel we watched as gang members approached the bar watched how bottles of alcohol were just freely handed over. Not thinking too much of it but curious we left. That night we came back to the same restaurant and again the same but half the group still there, three still drinking and two having a sleep.
On rolled the late hours of the night, and at about 11pm one raised his voice wanting food, speaking Balinese friends had translated.
The manager had told them kitchen closed sorry and handed over another bottle of alcohol to please.
I went off to bed a little shaken by it all and concerned for hotel staff, one of hotel staff told me he was very worried as they have made themselves a home cause the hotel don't pay protection.
This happened several times over the next couple of days and I was wishing we had stayed else where. I was told not to worry that they don't have problems with us Aussies but my hubby had been high fived and me winked at with a few come ons that I was a little scared.
This gang all had the same tattoo between their pointer finger and thumb.
To cut a long story short it wasn't until another gang member who was friends with friend told them they were linked to Scarlie (not sure if that is correct spelling, but it sounded like that) and that they often drink there that after that we did not see at all.
