return ticket?

hi all, just wondering who has actually been asked for proof of a return ticket when entering bali?
im going next week, but do not have a return ticket as i will be buying a ticket to singapore (for a visa run)while in bali.suposed to have a return ticket or onward ticket when antering though i cant ever remember being asked to produce it?
