This area (businesswise) is dominated by local white guys, most of whom have come out unscathed.
The fewn genuine locals who don't have Bule backing will be the ones to suffer here.
We have actually lost laundry in this disaster, at EVAS.
However, my concerns are not for my underpants, or whatever.
As always, the tragedy here will be with the locals, loss of jobs etc.
Tommorow, the area will spring up renewed, probably with even more bule intervention.
An example of a turn around in peoples lives, and a further shift in the balance in this area.
It is pretty sad when the important thing is "I got my laundry out in time".
I would donate all my laundry forever happily to make the fire not happen.
