Not sure if this has been posted as yet but there was a large fire that burned down 10-12 shops in Gang Agung (sp?) just behind the secret garden hotel early Friday morning. We were woken by staff trying to evacuate the hotel around 4:30am to find the shops that include Eva's laundry were ablaze. All the shops were destroyed up to the AFL shop which was spared luckily. We spoke with steve the owner and he was one relieved man.
It's very very sad for the locals such as Eva's however, we'd just had laundry done 2 days earlier.
Just wanted to let anyone know that uses the area or businesses.
