You cant buy duty free in denpasar if you are in transit. If you feel duty free is less expensive in jakarta than downtown duty free by all means buy it there. I flew jetstar and found out unlike garuda they do not allow you to purchase duty free from denpasar to sydney (last time i fly with jetstar). Go garuda yeah.
