I actually don't use it as I think it sounds awkward but the dictionary states it is acceptable and my texts state it is.
Sometimes when you learn a language formally it is not always exact in the way it is used by the everyday person.
Like any language it's adapted (look at what the Aussies have done to the English language). LOL I'm an Aussie so no-one flame me. There are not a lot of people who speak "the queens English".
