I'm not sure I could ignore anyone, pushy salesperson or not. A "no thank you" in English with a smile seems to work for us though I guess it does expose us as the 'green' tourist.
Wouldn't ignoring be impolite? Or are westerners the only ones to see it this way?
I'm interested to know if Indonesians see ignorance as rudeness or just simply accept it.
