I should have perhaps added that we are looking at budget hotels (approx AUS$70 - $80 for all 4 of us) as we spend very little time in our hotel and prefer to spend the money elsewhere. Perhaps someone can suggest the ideal area that I can look in. I would not want to be in the middle of the redlight district with the kids and as I have never been to Singapore have no idea what area to look in.
