Singapore once there is not expensive unless you want it to be.
The cheap food centres like basement of Ngee anne twin towers shopping centre in orchard road...newton circ and also chinatown are all cheap.
Clarke and Boat quay are NOT cheap.
Taxis are cheaper than Bali and in fact if there are more then 2 of you they are cheaper to get than the MRT (Train).
Inncrowd offer advice on doing your own walking tours,...which we did.
So the accomodation is the dearest bit and I would email inncrowd for queries on that and for help.
