She needs to fly well before. Domestic to Domestic okay ( in part)but to join as I undertand it a International flight you need at least MINIMUM 3 hours for a connection. Added to this is that domestic "budget" airlines ( if thats her MEL Connection) do not have a "safe" reliability.
Get her to come down 24 hours prior - cant she camp on your sofa ?
or someones in the travelling party ?
