'This is a bit backwards?' Right on. Where were you when this alleged pair boarded saying they had smashed their bottles? How come they were even allowed to board after shedding broken glass and liquor all over the customs area? Get real. I don't believe a word of it. The rules in Bali - if it was Bali - are the same as anywhere else. If you buy duty-free liquor to take home, you buy it AFTER going through customs and immigration and it is put into a sealed and tamper-proof bag. If these idiots had bought their grog BEFORE arriving at the airport - wherever it was - well, I rest my case. The world is full of jerks, so thank goodness for vigilant customs officers.
